BUY OR LEASE A VEHICLE? Now that you've decided it's time for a new vehicle, should you buy or lease?  Well, firstly, what is a lease?  A lease is just another type of financing to facilitate a customers purchase of their vehicle. Leasing can be compared to "renting" because the customer only pays for the time the vehicle is used by them and the payments are based on the difference between the sale price end value at the end of the lease (see example below)  While buying a vehicle does give you an asset, it's one that can depreciate by ...

Risk Management also known as "Insurance" 12/16/2014

When you finance a vehicle either new or used, there is an option to purchase different forms of insurance.  The first words typically voiced when the products are presented are, "I have lots of life insurance", or "I have disability insurance through work", or "I'm really healthy" and then there's "I'll take my chances".   All of these are probably true today, however, as we all know life can change in an instant.  What is the main reason you purchased Life Insurance?  In a family situation you and your spouse may have insurance on each other to provide the surviving spouse ...

Rust. It's a four-letter word that can wreak havoc on a car-and your wallet. From the moment a new vehicle begins its life on the assembly line, the metal used to manufacture your new car or truck begins the process to return to its natural state: iron ore. Rust is created when iron, oxygen and water combine to create an electrochemical reaction we know as corrosion.  Corrosion of metal can never be stopped, but it can be slowed down with the rust proofing.   Many new car buyers ask "why should I pay to have my vehicle rust proofed when ...

Should I Buy Extended Warranty for my new Car? 09/23/2014

The average new car costs over $25,000. At that price, owners expect trouble-free operation and longer vehicle life.
